To educate motorists, and as an opportunity to improve safety among our customers and within the community, we are sponsoring free tire pressure and tread wear check. Park Ave BMW / Park Ave Acura will once again be the Major/Gold Medal sponsor of the annual MAYWOOD RUN being held Saturday, May 19, 2007. Park Ave Auto Group has been a major sponsor of this event since its inception in 1994.

RIDGEWOOD RUN - Memorial Day 2007

Park Ave BMW was the Major Sponsor of North Jersey Masters Track & Field Club Ridgewood Run for the 16th consecutive year. Monday, May 28th marked the Run’s 32nd Anniversary. In addition to being the Gold Medal Major Sponsor for this event, Park Ave BMW also hosted the 10K Masters Championship. Approximately 3,700 people participated in the 2006 Run. 76 year old Toshi d'Elia, the wife of the founder of the Memorial Day event finished the 6.2 mile course in 55:13.Other winners were:Aidan Walsh of Cliffside Park, Krige Schabort of Cedar Town, Georgia Proceeds from the Ridgewood Run are distributed to the Social Services Association, Family Counseling Service, The College Club Fund and various charitable organizations.

LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is an international series of relays by Law Enforcement Officers to raise money for Special Olympics. They do this to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic type sports for children and adults with mental retardation. For 18 years the Special Olympics torch has been carried throughout New Jersey signifying the achievements and the personal courage of Special Olympics athletes. Law Enforcement fund-raising activities include not only the Torch Run, but other events such as a Polar Bear Plunge, Motorcycle Rally and Fun Runs.

KIDS DAY AMERICA

Kids Day America - Dedicated to the health and safety of all our children and how kids of all ages can help preserve the planet. Park Ave BMW/Park Ave Acura was proud to be the Diamond Sponsor for this worldwide event held in Maywood. Run by Dr.Bryan Bajakian and his Staff each child was provided with ID cards, the Police Department conducted the fingerprinting, McGruff the Crime Dog greeted the children and the Fire Department provided fire safety tips and a fire engine for the kids to explore. 1300 communities participated in this event internationally. Complimentary kids tee shirts and bicycle safety reflectors were given out to all who attended courtesy of Park Ave Auto Group. This was also a chance to win a Z4 childs Roadster Car and Baby Racer donated by Park Ave BMW.

MAYWOOD STATION HISTORICAL COMMITTEE

A division of the New York, Susquehanna & Western Technical & Historical Society Inc. The purpose of this Committee is to restore the station to its turn-of- the century appearance with the intentions of displaying Maywood town history and railroad history within the building. Their main objective is to restore, revitalize and maintain the historic Victorian Style station. The Maywood train station has received certification of eligibility from the NJ Historical Preservation Office and has been placed on both the New Jersey and National Historical Registers. The station was identified as one of the oldest existing in the State of New Jersey still retaining most of its original character. Park Ave BMW/Park Ave Acura is proud to be a Silver Level Sponsor of the Historical Committee's restoration of the Maywood Train Station.

TERRI ROEMER PARAMUS RUN

The Terri Roemer Paramus Run will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The Race is already in the planning stages. Special events and surprises are planned for this Fall event and we'll be participating as a Patron Sponsor. We will post details and application information as it becomes available to us.

THE WESTIES

Park Ave Auto Group was the major underwriter for this Event honoring students in art, music and theater with an Oscar-style black tie event called The Westies. On Saturday, June 11th, the Visual and Performing Arts Committee of the Westwood Regional School District hosted a gala, black tie event for the first-ever presentation of the “Westies” the local answer to the Oscars and the Emmys. Prior to the ceremony all performers, presenters and student nominees walked a red carpet in front of the high school. The winner of each category, the Sommerhalter Family and corporate sponsor Park Ave Auto group received golden Westies.
