How Do I Use Acura Navigation?

Basic Acura Navigation Operation

The Acura navigation system uses GPS and a map database to plot your current location and guide you to your desired destination. You can see your map displayed on the screen in the center of your dash, and you can use buttons to enter destination information. You also the option of controlling your system via voice commands. While you are driving, certain manual functions may be disabled, so default to audible commands!

Steering Wheel Controls:

• Press the Talk button on your steering wheel to say navigation commands. Wait for the beep before saying a command, speak in a clear voice, and minimize all background noise. To skip the system prompts, just press the Talk button again to give your command.
• Voice prompts will then guide you with turn-by-turn instructions. You can turn this feature on or off by pressing SETTINGS, System Settings, Voice Prompts, the Off or On.
• Press the Back button to cancel a voice command

How Do I Enter a Destination?

You can enter a street address manually when your Acura is stopped. From the map screen, press MENU, use the interface to select Address, and then follow the prompts. As with other functions, you can also use voice controls by saying “Navigation” and then “Address.” Your system will prompt you to say the entire address, then asking you to confirm and say “Set as destination” to plot the route.

Follow the same steps to locate a point of interest or nearest place. If you are in need of a bank or ATM, use the Voice Portal to find a specific branch or say “Find Nearest” to pull up a list of the nearest requested services in relation to your current location.

What Else Can Acura Navigation Do?

You can store your home address in your Acura by pressing Settings, Navi Settings, then Edit Go Home. Enter your address and press OK. Select Go Home from the destination menu or use the Talk button to say “Navigation” and then “Go home” and your system will guide you to your driveway. Have a destination you venture to often?
